My dad is once an OFW in Iraq.

He's been there for 2 years from 1982 to 1984.

He's been there working for our family as heavy equipment operator. In the short period of time that he's been there, we have bought many things such as 2 tricycles, a television, extension for our home and a jeepney.

Because of him we are able to build our own business.

a sari-sari store.

It grew up and now we have a shop for M-gas, Superkalan and Gasul.

Without him, we are not able to support our studies and reach our goals

My tito is also an OFW.

His name was Jojo Juson.

He's now living in Saipan for many years.

He reached his success even if many people judged him

You can never judge a person for who ever he is.

Who ever you are you can still be successful.

All you need is hard-work and a good heart.

My last story is about my bother in law.

He worked at Taiwan in years 2007 to 2009.

He had a hard time working there because he has a low salary.

He is a factory worker.

Worse thing, the company that he had been working with, has a problem so the company needs to drop some workers. Unfortunately, Kuya Ricky has been dropped.

By the time he arrived here in the Philippines, he has nothing but himself, but what's important is he's safe.

Not all OFW's are successful.

There are many stories of unfortunate OFW's who came back in our country with nothing.

So we have to think many times before we risk our future to other country.
